The 5-Minute Sunday Habit That Kicked Malaria Out of My House.

Introduction.

A 61-Year-Old Lagos Clinical Pharmacist Shares The 5-Minute Sunday Habit That Ended 3 Years Of Malaria Attacks.

Read the free chapter on early warning signs Nigerians ignore.

For three years, my house in Lagos was malaria’s favorite address. Every rainy season, mosquitoes checked in. Someone in my family always paid the price — fever, chills, hospital bills, lost work days.

We tried everything you’re probably tired of too: mosquito coils that made the whole house smell like burnt tar, sprays that left us coughing, and mosquito nets we swore we’d sleep under… until it got “too hot.” Nothing stuck.

Then one Sunday, I got fed up. Not the motivational-speaker kind of fed up. The tired-dad, “I’m 61 and I’ve had enough of Panadol receipts” kind of fed up. So I gave myself 5 minutes. Just 5. No grand plan, no WHO manual, no budget.

What happened next sounds like one of those too-good-to-be-true Facebook posts, except it’s my actual life as a Clinical Pharmacist. That tiny – 5-minute Sunday habit broke malaria’s lease on our home. We haven’t seen a positive malaria test in months. Not one.

I’m not selling you miracle tea or agbo. But if you’ve got 5 minutes every Sunday and you’re tired of mosquitoes treating your home like a family member, this might be the habit that evicts them for good.

In this guide, I show you exactly what I do, why it works from a pharmacist perspective, and how you can start this Sunday.

Chapter 1

The 5-Minute Sunday Habit That Stopped Malaria in My Lagos Home [Free Chapter].

As a Clinical Pharmacist in Lagos, I’ve seen too many families waste money and time. Malaria doesn’t start with “I have malaria.” It starts with “I just feel somehow.” Catch it early and you save money, time and stress.

Here are: The 5 Silent Phases of Malaria Most Nigerians Ignore.

1. The Tired Phase.

You feel afternoon fatigue even after sleeping well. Your body feels “heavy.” What’s really happening? Parasites are multiplying in your liver. But what do we say in Nigeria? “Stress from work” or “Lagos traffic.”

2. The Hot-Cold Phase.

You’re shivering even when the weather is hot. Then 1-2 hours later, you’re sweating suddenly. This is parasites bursting your red blood cells in cycles. We call it “ordinary fever” or “body dey do me somehow.”

3. The Headache Phase.

You get a pounding headache behind your eyes. Light starts to hurt your eyes. This is from low oxygen because your blood cells are being destroyed. We blame it on “I didn’t sleep well” or “migraine.”

4. The Stomach Phase.

You lose your appetite. Food tastes bitter. You feel mild nausea. Parasites are now affecting your liver and digestion. We say “I don’t feel like eating” or “it’s ulcer.”

5. The Joint Phase.

You feel deep pain in your back, knees and joints. Not from exercise. It’s your body’s inflammatory response fighting parasites. We dismiss it as “body pain from hard work.”

The 24-Hour Rule Every Nigerian Family Should Know.

If you have fever + any 2 signs above for more than 24 hours, DO NOT buy random drugs. Go for a malaria test first.

Why testing first saves you ₦5,000+: Treating typhoid when you have malaria means wasted drugs, your sickness gets worse, and you’ll still treat malaria later. Test kits at pharmacies are about ₦500. A full treatment after wrong drugs can hit ₦15,000.

Children’s Warning Signs — Act Faster:

Kids can’t explain well. As a father and pharmacist, I tell every parent: Rush to the clinic if your child refuses to eat/drink for 6+ hours, is vomiting everything, is too weak to play or unusually sleepy in daytime, or has convulsions/fits. Children die from malaria in hours, not days. Don’t wait till morning.
